Conical Control Valves
CLV type control valves are most commonly installed in the lower part of dams or reservoirs to control water levels, or on turbine bypass lines. TB Hydro designs, manufactures, and services CJV type conical control valves. Valve connections are according to EN/ASME standards or individual customer requirements. Each control valve is individually designed for the specified operating conditions.
Diameter:
Wide range of diameters from 500 to 2000 mm.
Pressure:
Standard pressure range up to 25 bar.

CJV Type Control Valve Design
Body
The body is welded from plates and forgings with a flanged connection. An integral part of the body is a cone that shapes the water stream. The slides guiding the piston are attached to the body.
Piston
Main Seal
A polyurethane profile (90ShA) or bronze seal is secured to the body with a stainless steel clamping ring. Additionally, there's a metal-to-metal seal between the clamping ring and the surface on the stainless steel piston. It's possible to replace the seal without disassembling the valve.
Bearings / Slides
Slides made of wear-resistant bronze.
Low friction coefficient and long-term, trouble-free piston operation.
Piston seals in stainless steel seats.
Additional Equipment
CJV type valves can be supplied with additional equipment:
- Hood pipe / stream concentrating pipe, which reduces wide water dispersion into the atmosphere
- Aeration pipes
