Slide Valves

SLV slide valves are compact open-close type valves with an integrated internal actuator for valve control. They are used as shut-off devices in water pipelines, particularly in bypass lines for pressure equalization. Connections are according to EN/ASME standards or individual requirements. TB Hydro designs these valves specifically for each customer’s individual needs. Other applications and media are available upon request.

Sluice valve diameter range: from 25 to 500 mm.

Pressure:

Pressure range: from 10 to 200 bar.

Water temperature: 4 to 70°C
Recommended medium velocity: up to 20 m/s

Slide Valve Design

Body

The body is bolted together and features an integrated actuator. The size of the actuator chamber is selected based on operating conditions. An orifice plate is located at the body's outlet for energy dissipation. The holes in the orifice plate are individually sized to match the valve's operating conditions. There is no possibility of mixing the working and control media due to the inclusion of control and leakage drain ports.

Piston

The piston performs a reciprocating motion, controlled by an internal actuator. The piston tends to self-close under the influence of the medium's pressure inside the valve.
